A Bit About Me

Embarking on a reborn journey of self-exploration, dance relearning, and emotional navigation through Dance Movement Psychotherapy enables me to reconnect with and embrace my inner child, forging a path of self-containment. Grateful for the inspiring encounters with the people I have met, resilience and experience empower me to walk parallel with clients.

Supporting children and young people who are in low mood and anxiety in school settings by using the approach of Dance Movement psychotherapy.  

Offering one-to-one session and consultation for schools in Harrow by using the whole-school approach. 

Providing workshops to the whole school including students and staff members of the school.

Dance Movement Psychotherapy Practitioner

-Throughout an 8-month period in the acute ward and recovery service, positive outcomes and feedback were received from clients and staff teams.

-The analysis from the Dance Movement Psychotherapy session offered diverse insights for the team to reflect on the client's care plan.
-With no efficacy of medications, the clients were referred by a doctor and a psychologist who had benefited from the Dance Movement Psychotherapy modality, which supported the clients during the discharge transition in the acute ward.

-The Dance Movement Psychotherapy modality supports the group in the recovery service in finding a sense of belonging and support among the group members.

Dance Movement Psychotherapy Practitioner

Invicta Primary School, London

- Engaged in classroom observation, leading to the referral of a Year 4 child for confidence-building support. 

-Conducted individual Dance Movement Psychotherapy sessions, during which we delved into his fears, daily life, and adjustment to changes brought about by transitioning to different primary school environments, using movement and artistic expression.
- Provided Dance Movement Psychotherapy individual sessions for a 5-year-old child in reception who had been exposed to domestic violence. The therapeutic goal was to assist the child in expressing emotions through movement and props, while also helping the child develop appropriate interaction skills with others.

- Assisting the facilitator in providing support to young people with diverse needs such as brain injuries, ADHD, Autism, visual/audio impairments, physical impairments, and Down syndrome.

-Collaborated with dance movement psychotherapists to discuss treatments and actively engaged in the session process.
- Established relationships with clients using a kind and empathetic approach.
- Applied theoretical frameworks such as Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Developmental Movement Patterns, and the Kestenberg Movement Profile throughout the session process, providing support to clients both mentally and physically.
- Nurtured clients' critical thinking skills and their ability to express themselves.
